Connector Leaders “Go to Disneyland” for FCC 2004

Sports stars, following their victory in the season’s big game, have been known to announce, “I’m going to Disneyland” as they celebrated their achievement.

Heavy hitters in the connector world had the same idea in 2004 as they convened at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, California, for the 16th annual Fleck Connection Congress.

With the gleeful screams of youngsters enjoying the Magic Kingdom’s rides and attractions audible just a few yards away, over 200 senior executives in the interconnect industry gathered for the three-day FCC, where 14 speakers delivered the latest information on a variety of industry topics.

The opening night of the three-day event found the attendees divided between the gala reception, including trophy presentations for the day’s golf tournament, and the final game of the World Series, which was transpiring simultaneously. Executives from the New England area were particularly ebullient as the Boston Red Sox captured their first championship since 1918.

In addition, FCC attendees were able to take advantage of two interconnect industry workshops on the final day of the conference. The first covered technology trends in the industry, while the second focused on the state of the industry.
